The conversation around the Playstation 5 release of Forza Horizon 6 has turned into a serious back-and-forth lately. While official statements and industry insiders are pointing to different launch windows, a new report might finally settle the debate. A highly reliable source just dropped exact release details, pricing, and physical edition confirmation that point entirely to next year.

 

Forza Horizon 6 PS5 Release Date Leaked for 2027

Playground Games initially announced that the game’s debut on Sony’s console would happen at the end of 2026. Despite that, persistent rumors were circulating about it getting delayed to early 2027 which Tom Warren of The Verge chimed in on X, agreeing he does not see the game launching on PS5 this year.

Playground Games then doubled down on the 2026 window in September, reiterating that Forza Horizon 6 would be coming to PS5 later this year. But even with this, Warren didn’t change his position on the matter.

Now billbil-kun, one of the most reliable sources especially for Playstation-related leaks, has backed the 2027 release window. According to his report on Dealabs, Forza Horizon 6 will launch on PS5 on January 26, 2027. The report also claims that an official announcement is expected this week, with pre-orders opening shortly after.

The leak also gives PS players an idea of what Forza Horizon 6 will cost. According to the same report, the standard PS5 version will be priced at £59.99 in the UK and €69.99 in Europe, matching the Xbox Series X|S price. A physical edition has also been confirmed to launch alongside the digital version. A Premium Edition though remains unknown at this point but it will most likely have since it mirrors the Xbox release.

While this is all exciting news, not until the official announcement from Playground Games is released should we consider the date and prices as fact. But it does carry some serious weight I have to say.
