Valiant Hearts Coming Home quietly arrived on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate via Ubisoft+ Classics, kicking off October with a short World War I adventure.
- Valiant Hearts: Coming Home was quietly added to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on October 1 through the Ubisoft+ Classics catalog without an official announcement.
- The sequel to 2014’s The Great War retains its graphic novel art style, exploring World War I historical events like the Meuse-Argonne offensive across four intertwining perspectives.
- With a short campaign length of roughly two to three hours, the game offers a compact puzzle-adventure experience for subscribers.
October has officially kicked off for Xbox Game Pass and it turns out Keeper is not the first game to enter the service this month. On October 1, subscribers noticed that Valiant Hearts Coming Home had quietly become available through the Ubisoft+ Classics catalog, making the game accessible to Game Pass Ultimate members. Neither Ubisoft nor Xbox announced the addition, making it quite an unexpected way to start the month.
Valiant Hearts Coming Home Is On Game Pass Ultimate
While Keeper remains the first officially announced Game Pass addition for October, Valiant Hearts: Coming Home has slipped into the service through Xbox’s Ubisoft+ integration. The game was spotted as available to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on October 1, despite not being part of Microsoft’s previously announced October lineup. Ubisoft also didn’t announce but they hardly do anyway.
The game follows 2014’s Valiant Hearts: The Great War, bringing back Anna while introducing three new characters. Players follow James, brother of Freddie from the first game, pilot George, German diver Ernst, and Anna as their stories unfold across different parts of World War I.
Coming Home keeps the series’ animated graphic novel style and combines exploration, puzzles and light action. Its story visits historical events including the Jutland naval battle and the Meuse-Argonne offensive, while historical facts and photographs provide additional context, particularly around the Harlem Hellfighters.
Valiant Hearts: Coming Home first launched as a mobile game in 2023 before Ubisoft brought it to Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC in 2024 alongside Valiant Hearts: The Collection.
While Coming Home has plenty going for it, it did not receive the same level of acclaim as The Great War. The original was praised for its emotional storytelling and distinctive presentation, while the sequel received a more mixed reception, with some criticism directed at its simplified gameplay and short campaign.
That short runtime can actually make it a nice Game Pass pick, though. Coming Home can be completed in roughly two to three hours, so it is easy to finish over a couple of evenings when you just need something shorter to play.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
